The Singapore River

As we walk along the Singapore River to the Ancient Civilizations Museum, we saw steps on the other side of the Singapore River. This shows that many boats were used to possibly travel on this river. As the river is not big enough for bug ships to pass through, the unloading of the goods from trading could have happened by transporting them via kayaks and canoes. The second photo shows a boat with tourists. The side of the river is now crowded with restaurants and is a popular tourist destination. Last time, it was crowded with businessmen trying to trade goods and kayaks were everywhere around the river. This was a port.

The Singapore River has many boats moving most of the time.Because of this and because of the water current erosion will take place and slowly the course of the river can change.
